Health Tech Stakeholders Want AI Sandboxes, Grants, CMMI Models, Federal Preemption

Inside Health Policy featured Vega Health in a recent article about the industry's responses to a request for information by the federal government. Vega Health's letter recommended the FDA offer state-level sandboxes additional regulatory relief so health systems are incentivized to participate in them. In turn, states can provide the FDA with real-world AI evaluation and monitoring evidence for novel clinical decision support applications as part of the contract framework for AI sandbox participation.
